EMMANUEL ESSIEN / Managing Director (MD), Alpha Mead Capital (AMC).

Emmanuel Essien is the Managing Director (MD) of Alpha Mead Capital (AMC).

As a strategic business unit (SBU) within the Alpha Mead Group (AMG), Alpha Mead Capital is an entrepreneurial capital and advisory services company that works with developers, financial institutions, private investors and customers across Nigeria, the wider Africa and the rest of the global market to design solutions that make home ownership affordable and making housing financing more accessible.

AMC aspires to enable a growing number of mid-income professionals in Nigeria and Africa to bridge the housing affordability gap and step onto the homeownership ladder. In our view, the key to unlocking homeownership’s potential is to make it a sustainable proposition for all parties involved. Given the complexity of the issues involved, this requires a flexible and multi-dimensional approach that touches not just on the supply of quality housing but also on the provision of affordable housing finance to enable demand. AMC has been established to meet this need.

Emmanuel holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in corporate finance and strategy, as well as a second Master degree
in Finance and Investment management, with over 23 years of combined Banking and Financial Services, Transaction Advisory,
Audit & Risk Assurance and Technology experience.

His business and management skills are complemented by an extensive career in the corporate environment and as an
independent capital market consultant. Prior to joining the Alpha Mead Group, he worked as the Managing Director at Debnoch
Consulting, a firm focusing on development finance, capital markets and transaction advisory services, as well as Origination
Director for West Africa at Weiji Capital LLC.

He was an Associate Director in the Transaction Advisory Services with Ernst &Young (EY), where he led several investment
banking, M&A and capital market portfolio and projects, as the market leader for Sub Saharan Africa for his Johannesburg office in
South Africa.
